For the classic rolls, I recommend the Spicy Yellowtail Roll. This is the best yellowtail roll I have ever eaten. We love that the fish was a full slice and not just the minced ones. The portions are very generous. Their signature rolls were also worth the money. We got the Spicy 2-in-1 and Lobster Roll. We felt fancy tonight so we also ordered the Seared Scallop Nigiri. It was divine. I also recommend their Sake. We tried the house sake and plum sake. Both were really good but the plum sake stood out.

What a great sushi place! The prices are reasonable and most of the food was delicious — sushi, rolls, you name it. Probably the only questionable dish was one of the lunch specials. It was supposed to be a seared salmon bowl, but the salmon was far from seared… it was just cooked.

Highly recommend the Large Sushi Tray ($25.99) here! It’s a takeout-only gem featuring three chef-selected special rolls. As shown in the photo, the presentation is stunning, and the fish is incredibly fresh and rich. The combination of sauces, green onions, and roe creates a wonderful depth of flavor. Finding this level of quality at such an affordable price is a rarity in Champaign. Incredible value—I’ll definitely be ordering this again!😋😋😋

Sumo Kitchen was absolutely amazing! The price is a bit higher, but the food quality matched it for sure. We went during an odd time and were one of only two tables there. Staff were very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Great new sushi spot in Champaign! They have a really nice selection of traditional nigiri, and what impressed me the most were the toro pieces made with tuna or salmon belly, both absolutely amazing. The grilled scallop was also fantastic and full of flavor. The Wagyu tartare is another must try. The house sake is only 7.99 and so good, definitely worth ordering. We also enjoyed the double salmon roll and the scallop dynamite roll, everything was prepared quickly and came out very fresh. The staff was very attentive and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. The only thing I missed was more traditional Asian desserts, but the tiramisu they offered was still tasty. I am already looking forward to going back and trying different rolls and nigiri. Definitely worth a visit if you love sushi!
